“Fantastic Planet” was apparently double-billed frequently with “Yellow Submarine” back in the 70s, and its not hard to see why. Both are the finest heap trips animation could offer. Both are subversive fun coming under the guise of a children’s film but really intended towards the older counterculture and intellectuals. However, both films have many unique qualities. “Fantastic Planet” is one of the most mind-blowing animated films I’ve seen in my life and pretty close to being a masterpiece. Read More »

An Aboriginal adventure story that is so well told you can believe it. A unique tone that gives us a breath of fresh air into a world we certainly have never seen before where spontaneous humor is more common than it is today. It’s a convincing anthropological trip to the past were we can see todays human nature is nothing new. An incredible hilarious, feel-good film where the only true tragedy is the fact this kind of living in modern days suffers a countdown clock that measures it’s lifespan in years if not days.

He embarks us on a very trippy visual movie where a young guy is swept away from dream to dream having short but deep enlightened chats about life with the most intriguing characters. In this blog you probably won’t be hearing how great the new Rambo movie was or how many times Jessica Alba’s nipples were visible in Silver Surfer. I am starting to blog with the intent to prove that entertainment can be a great source of knowledge and self discovery, sure there is meditation but who said there are no alternatives?. There is a film category that you might have never heard about, it’s called Nonverbal. It’s when movies and documentaries push the envelope to other realms of exposing life and interactions . When scientists try to explain the Joe average guy any other above dimension than the third (the one we perceive) they usually have a hard time explaining and I, meaning Joe, have a hard time understanding. This is where Rob Bryanton comes in to saves us all. They made a worth seeing more than a few times 10 minute video based on his book ” Imagining the Tenth Dimension”, which at the same time is based on String Theory. At last we can grasp the reality and illusion of our own nature by imagining a journey from the first to the tenth dimension. We need more science meets simplicity like this to flash our eyes to comprehend magnitudes and acknowledge this kinds of complexities.
